Disqualification of Membership of Committee as provided under
Rule 59(J) of the Delhi Cooperative Societies Rules, 1973
(With Amendment upto 1982)
F.No. 3(7)84/Coop./Legal/3
Dated: 23/6/84
Under the above mentioned Rule no person shall be election as a member of the Committee of Cooperative Societies if he is a near relative of the paid employee of the society provided that if any question arises whether or not a member is near relative of the paid employee, if shall be referred to the Registrar whose decision there in shall be final.
I have gone through the Cooperative Act. and the Rules and find that the 'Relative' includes any one related to the person concerned or to his wife through a common ancestor not more than a great grand-father or any one married to a person so related.
In view of the above definition already found in the Delhi Cooperative Societies Rules 1973. I feel that the term 'near relative' can be defined as follow:-
'Near Relative' includes anyone related to the Person concerned or his wife through a common ancestor not more than a grand-father or anyone married to a person so related.
