Payment of Education Fund by GH Societies Rs 2500 to Rs 10000

No. CEF/DR/4026N-lu In exercise of the powers conferred b sub-section (1) of Section 97 of the Delhi Cooperative Societies Act, 1972, (Act 3K of 1972) the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to make the following rules further to amend the Delhi Co-operative Rules, 1973 namely:

1.(1) These rules may be called the Delhi Co-operative Societies (First Amendment) Rules 1992.
(2) These rules extend to the entire National Capital Territory of Delhi.
(3) These rules shall come into force with immediate effect.

2.In the Delhi Co-operative Societies Rules, 1973, for Rule 80, the following shall be substituted of rule 80 namely
Rule 80

Contribution towards Co-operative Education Fund

“Every Co-operative society shall credit a sum calculated at two percent of its net profits subject to a maximum of Rs. 10,000/- every year for contribution to the Co-operative Education Fund to be administered by the Registrar. This Fund shall be kept with the State Bank of India and the Lieutenant Governor shall nominate a committee with Registrar as its Chairman, one officer from the office of the Registrar, six represen­tative of Contributing societies, two representatives of the Delhi State Co-operative Union and Principal of the Training Centre which shall advise the Registrar in the Administration of the Co-operative Education Fund. Any Such amount payable by the Society shall be a charge on the funds of the Society.”
